## Job Description
Responsible for assignment of appropriate ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 codes and abstracting statistical and reimbursement data for inpatient and outpatient encounters.
## Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred. Keyboarding/computer skills required. Certified Coding Specialist or Registered Health Information Administrator - CCS or RHIA required. Demonstrated working knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Disease Process, and Pharmacology. Combination of at least 5 years of Acute Inpatient and/or Outpatient coding experience required OR 2 years management experience required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
