MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or food service work.

To manage a variety of building service operations or direct building service cleaning operations in a large state agency.
Level of Work:
Manager.
Supervision Received:
Broad direction from classified Maintenance position at GS-15 or higher; or, from unclassified Agency personnel.
Supervision Exercised:
Direct over Custodian Supervisors.
Location of Work:
All state agencies.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Custodial Supervisor by responsibility for managing a custodian crew composed of 28-55 Custodians and subordinate Custodian Supervisors performing custodian duties in state buildings having 500,000 or more square feet.
Note: When job assignments do not fall exactly within the above criteria, allocation decisions will be determined on a case by case basis.
Examples of Work:
Manages the work performed groups of employees providing building cleaning services for large state agencies.
Prepares and assigns work schedules for subordinate employees through subordinate supervisors.
Requisitions and maintains supplies and materials necessary to provide service functions.
Researches and compiles managerial reports relating to cost effectiveness of building services and makes recommendations to administrative officials.
Assists administrators with the preparation of service-related budgets.
Maintains personnel and equipment records.
Establishes a system for reception and traffic control for visitors and employees.
Performs other related duties necessary to provide efficient services.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
