What You''ll Do
John Deere Davenport Works is seeking a _Machining Manufacturing Engineer (Variable Shift)_ to support the machining operations for Loaders, Motor Graders, Articulated Dump Trucks and Skidders. In this position, you will:
Provide daily support and trouble shooting for machining operations.
Establish methods, quality plans, and labor standards for new and current parts.
Implement new tooling and fixturing.
Use data to implement productivity and quality improvements.
## Qualifications
We need a solid communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor''s degree in Engineering/Technology, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, we require:
Experience in a fabrication environment.
Experience with horizontal machining operations and programming.
Experience in fixturing, machining processes, equipment and programming.
Experience with Pro/E and engineering tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc).
Ability to travel and work overtime as business need require.
A strong candidate will also have:
Experience in a union facility.
Experience using WPlanner.
Siemens control experience.
