The Maintenance employee is a manual labor position that will provide maintenance duties to the CIS clinic.
This person will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds.
The person in this position is also expected to be available and observant to the local environment and is responsible for taking appropriate action to provide and maintain a safe environment for the patients, employees, and visitors of the clinic.
SPECIFIC DUTIES (WITH PERCENTAGES):
Maintain building and grounds.
Perform duties such as:
changing light bulbs, general cleaning inside and outside of the building, weeding lawn, sweeping, removing trash, maintaining landscape, moving furniture or equipment, or other duties as assigned by the Office Team Leader or other Administrative Staff.
Make necessary repairs to property, building and contents of building as capable.
Maintain safe environment by deterring activity through presence and observation.
Assist the staff in patient transfer/care when requested.
Assist with other clinic or company needs when directed.
Performs other related duties as assigned and serves in whatever other capacity deemed necessary for successful completion of the mission and goals of CIS and in concordance with its patient philosophy.
Maintain Medical Records Archiving Rotation with direction from Administrative Service Manager and/or Medical Records Coordinator.
Monitor utility usage and make suggestions and/or corrections for energy conservation needs.
Set-up schedule and monitor to maintain preventative and maintenance needs of building located in Morgan City, Thibodaux, and in Raceland.
Act as CIS representative for building issues concerning contractor repairs.
Accept and respond to maintenance work orders as requested.
Communicate with local hospital for repairs/maintenance issues needing to be completed by the hospital Engineering Dept.

Reports safety issues to supervisor immediately.
Works efficiently and manages time wisely.
Assist other employees when all duties are complete.
Communicates any problems, difficulties or concerns regarding job duties to the supervisor.
Performs all duties without significant error occurring with any regularity.
Meets all deadlines and timeframes for completion of assignments.
Represents CIS in a professional manner at all times.
Demonstrates acceptable ability to interact with physicians, staff and external customers (patients, family members, insurance companies, home health etc.
) on a professional level at all times.
Exhibits good communication skills with physicians, patients, supervisors, and co-workers at all times.
Exhibits whenever possible a harmonious relationship with other CIS employee in order to accomplish the duties and responsibilities of the position.
While perfect harmonious relationships with all employees is sometimes not achievable, not more than an occasional complaint should be received by the supervisor about the incumbent of this position.
The employee shall work and relate cooperatively with all other employees (internal customers) of CIS to assure optimum care for the patients of CIS and to achieve standards of care set forth by the CIS medical staff.
Adheres to the CIS Compliance Plan as it pertains to the above specific job duties.
Uses best efforts to maintain compliance by following the CIS Corporate Compliance Plan, attending CIS compliance education, following medical documentation guidelines, and communicating concerns regarding compliance issues.
Performs accurate and complete documentation in the patient's medical record, when applicable.
This includes documentation in both the paper record and the electronic medical record (EMR).
Work with the electronic medical record (EMR) staff to maintain quality and work towards future EMR development.
Maintains patient confidentiality according to the HIPAA standards of privacy and security.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

High school diploma preferred 2.
Maintenance experience preferred 3.
Ability to learn maintenance skills 4.
Good Communication Skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
