Prepares proposals for submittal to potential funding sources to obtain funds for ongoing or special institutional projects.
The Grant Writer will coordinate/write grant proposals for government, state, corporate, and foundation funds.
The Grant Writer will maintain grant/funding documents and files from application submission through closeout, as well as submit reports as required throughout the life cycle of the grant/funding program, including reports due monthly, quarterly, annually, and/or at closeout.
The Grant Writer will enter, update, and maintain grant/funding project information in the grant management software on a consistent basis.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university Substitution 1:
Two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training Substitution 2:
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
A valid driver's license issued by a state other than Louisiana is acceptable for application; however, once an employment offer is extended for a position, an applicant will have thirty (30) days to obtain the required Louisiana license.
Failure to obtain a Louisiana driver's license may disqualify an applicant from permanent employment in any position.
Maintains acceptable driving record in addition to a valid Louisiana license.
Proof of all certifications must be provided.
Applicants are subject to Civil Service procedures and testing, must be at least 18 years of age, pass a drug screen, and must meet the following submission procedures:
Application must be completely filled out and signed by applicant.
Resumes received without applications and/or applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
