PRIMARY PURPOSE/FUNCTION:
Responsible for directing the management, improvement, and acquisition of all properties and facilities of the organization.
Directs and reviews all plans for renovation and new construction.
Has primary interface with internal and external architects and contractors.
Purchases or reviews purchase of real estate, major plant equipment, or supplies.
Ensures that all safety, health and cost standards are maintained.
Serves as Safety officer for organization.
Qualifications:
Educational and/or Professional
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management required.
orEquivalent leadership and technical experience in related fields.
Master's Degree In Business, Health Administration, Architecture, or Engineering PreferredLouisiana Professional Engineer or Architect License PreferredPrevious
Experience:
Three to Five years of progressive management experience including facility maintenance, facility design, and management of construction/renovation in large/complex institutions required.
A minimum of three years of facility operations, design, consulting, or regulatory experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
Other Special Training/Skills:
Excellent communication skills required.
Business management skills required.
Facility and Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Environment of Care experience preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA, CMS, JCAHO, NFPA, State Healthcare Licensing requirements, and Louisiana State Building and Life Safety code preferred.
